Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to show how intelligence techniques have been used in information management systems.Design/methodology/approach – The results of a literature review on intelligence decision systems used in enterprise information management are analyzed. The intelligence techniques used in enterprise information management are briefly summarized.Findings – Intelligence techniques are rapidly emerging as new tools in information management systems. Especially, intelligence techniques can be used to utilize the decision process of enterprises information management. These techniques can increase sensitiveness, flexibility and accuracy of information management systems. The hybrid systems that contain two or more intelligence techniques will be more used in the future.Originality/value – The intelligence decision systems are briefly introduced and then a literature review is given to show how intelligence techniques have been used in information management systems.

A hybrid group decision support system for supplier selection using analytic hierarchy process, fuzzy set theory and neural network
TL;DR: A very high accuracy in capturing the collective consensual preferences of the group was established across eight cross-validation tests from the two case studies, for the hybrid approach, even with extremely limited count of data sets which were used for training the hybrid model.

A tool to evaluate the business intelligence of enterprise systems
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an expert tool to evaluate the BI competencies of enterprise systems, and combines a comprehensive review of recent literature with statistical methods for factor analysis, identifying six factors for the evaluation model: "Analytical and Intelligent Decision-support", "Providing Related Experimentation and Integration with Environmental Information", "Optimization and Recommended Model", "Reasoning", "Enhanced Decision-making Tools", and finally, "Stakeholder Satisfaction".

- 30 Oct 2018
TL;DR: A general model to be applied by all type of business entities how practically use Artificial Intelligence to automate removing the weakness of internal control systems, which reduces control risk, detection risk and increase audit quality by reducing accounting information risk.
The Role of Information Systems in Creating Strategic Leadership Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a research with the aid of a dynamic simulation model of IS and created an effective plan of strategic leadership, which was tested through the results that arise by using information from companies, in order to estimate the importance of the design factors of different systems.

Particle swarm optimization
James Kennedy,Russell C. Eberhart +1 more
- 06 Aug 2002
TL;DR: A concept for the optimization of nonlinear functions using particle swarm methodology is introduced, and the evolution of several paradigms is outlined, and an implementation of one of the paradigm is discussed.

The concept of a linguistic variable and its application to approximate reasoning—II☆
TL;DR: Much of what constitutes the core of scientific knowledge may be regarded as a reservoir of concepts and techniques which can be drawn upon to construct mathematical models of various types of systems and thereby yield quantitative information concerning their behavior.

Evolutionary programming made faster
Xin Yao,Yong Liu,Guangming Lin +2 more
TL;DR: A "fast EP" (FEP) is proposed which uses a Cauchy instead of Gaussian mutation as the primary search operator and is proposed and tested empirically, showing that IFEP performs better than or as well as the better of FEP and CEP for most benchmark problems tested.
Fuzzy logic = computing with words
TL;DR: The point of this note is that fuzzy logic plays a pivotal role in CW and vice-versa and, as an approximation, fuzzy logic may be equated to CW.

Reducing the time complexity of the derandomized evolution strategy with covariance matrix adaptation (CMA-ES)
TL;DR: A novel evolutionary optimization strategy based on the derandomized evolution strategy with covariance matrix adaptation (CMA-ES), intended to reduce the number of generations required for convergence to the optimum, which results in a highly parallel algorithm which scales favorably with large numbers of processors.
