Construction and analysis of a detailed new database for gas separation membranes
Lhucas Tenório de Melo de Sousa,Sarah Arvelos Altino +1 more
TL;DR: A detailed database for gas separation membranes with 1672 records and 29 attributes was constructed and analyzed. The database includes various types of membranes and permeating gases. Most attributes had an insignificant linear correlation with gas permeability, indicating a complex and contextually specific relationship. Total Pore Volume, Micropore Volume, and BET Area attributes were the most linearly correlated with gas permeability.

The upper bound revisited
TL;DR: The empirical upper bound relationship for membrane separation of gases initially published in 1991 has been reviewed with the myriad of data now presently available as mentioned in this paper, which indicates a different solubility selectivity relationship for perfluorinated polymers compared to hydrocarbon/aromatic polymers.
