Abstract: The invention relates to an information management method and an information management device. The file management server refers, when file information on at least two files targeted for association is acquired, to a storing unit that stores therein condition information, in which conditions for determining whether association between files is permitted are set, and determines whether the two files in the file information satisfy a condition that is set in the condition information and associates, when the condition is satisfied, the two files.
