Induced Chern-Simons and WZW action in Noncommutative Spacetime
TL;DR: In this article, the induced Chern-Simons action from a Majorana spinor is shown to not vanish even in the 0-degree limit, a discontinuity that shares a similar characteristic as the UV/IR singularity discovered originally by Minwalla, Raamsdonk and Seiberg.

Abstract: We consider noncommutative gauge theory with Dirac or Majorana fermions in odd dimensional spacetime and compute the induced noncommutative Chern-Simons action generated at 1-loop. We observe that the Chern-Simons term induced by a Dirac fermion has a smooth limit when $\th ---> 0$, but there is a finite jump for the Chern-Simons term induced by a Majorana spinor. The induced Chern-Simons action from a Majorana spinor is nonvanishing even in the $\th ---> 0$ limit, a discontinuity that shares a similar characteristic as the UV/IR singularity discovered originally by Minwalla, Raamsdonk and Seiberg. Properties of the noncommutative WZW action are also discussed.

Noncommutative Wess–Zumino–Witten actions and their Seiberg–Witten invariance
TL;DR: In this article, the non-commutative Wess-Zumino-Witten model was analyzed under Seiberg and Witten transformations in the operator formulation and it was shown that the model is invariant under such transformations even for the noncritical (non-chiral) case.

Constraints on Noncommutative Hall Effect Revisited
TL;DR: In this paper, a semiclassical formulation of the quantum Hall effect by means of an Chern-Simons gauge theory constructed for a Schrodinger field is considered and a direct relation of the constraints with Hall conductivity is shown.

Quantum field theory and the Jones polynomial
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that 2+1 dimensional quantum Yang-Mills theory with an action consisting purely of the Chern-Simons term is exactly soluble and gave a natural framework for understanding the Jones polynomial of knot theory in three dimensional terms.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied toroidal compactification of Matrix theory, using ideas and results of non-commutative geometry, and argued that they correspond in supergravity to tori with constant background three-form tensor field.
