Abstract: The task of recognizing edges of rectangular structures is well known. Still, almost all of them work with static images and has no limit on work time. We propose application of conducting homography for the video stream which can be obtained from the webcam. We propose algorithm which can be successfully used for this kind of application. One of the main use cases of such application is recognition of drawings by person on the piece of paper before webcam.

Detection and modeling of buildings from multiple aerial images
S. Noronha,Ramakant Nevatia +1 more
TL;DR: This work describes a system that detects and constructs 3D models for rectilinear buildings with either flat or symmetric gable roofs from multiple aerial images; the multiple images need not be stereo pairs (i.e., they may be acquired at different times).

Rectangle detection based on a windowed Hough transform
Claudio Rosito Jung,Rodrigo Schramm +1 more
- 17 Oct 2004
TL;DR: A new technique for rectangle detection using a windowed Hough transform is proposed, which produced promising results for both synthetic and natural images.
Detection and matching of rectilinear structures

- 23 Jun 2008
TL;DR: A novel approach for detecting rectilinear structures is presented and their use for wide baseline stereo matching, planar 3D reconstruction, and computation of geometric context is demonstrated.
An MRF model-based approach to the detection of rectangular shape objects in color images
TL;DR: This paper proposed a hierarchical approach, which combines a global contour-based line segment detection algorithm and an Markov random field model, to extract rectangular shape objects from real color images to show that this method is robust in locating multiple rectangular shape Objects simultaneously with respect to different size, orientation and color.
