Abstract: Provided are an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program for extracting a high-quality endoscopic image from a group of endoscopic images. This image processing device is provided with: a lesion region analysis unit 71 for analyzing a characteristic of a lesion region in each endoscopic image in a group of endoscopic images that are arranged in a time sequence; an extraction condition setting unit 72 for setting an extraction condition for extracting an endoscopic image suitable for diagnosis from the group of endoscopic images on the basis of the characteristic of the lesion region; and an image extraction unit 73 for extracting an endoscopic image suitable for diagnosis from the group of endoscopic images on the basis of the extraction condition.
