Abstract: Collaborative care is a model of behavioral health integration that promises to improve behavioral health outcomes in primary care settings. Significant gaps in the basic education of primary care providers (PCPs) and child and adolescent psychiatrists limit broad dissemination of the collaborative care model. Innovations are needed to address the training gap among child and adolescent psychiatry trainees, as well as pediatric trainees, particularly around integrated models such as collaborative care.
