TL;DR: A new class of stochastic models of gene evolution in which the mutations are chaotic, i.e. a random subset of the 64 possible trinucleotides mutates at each evolutionary time t according to some substitution probabilities, which allows an evolutionary study of the three circular codes identified in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic genes.

Optimal sample sizes and allelic diversity in studies of the genetic variability of mycobiont and photobiont populations
TL;DR: Using rarefaction methods, results indicated that a slightly higher sampling effort was required for the photobiont than for the mycobions, suggesting that the optimal sampling strategy strongly depends on the research question, the spatial scale of investigation, and the type of analysis to be performed with the data.

Maintaining low intragroup relatedness: evolutionary stability of nonkin social groups
TL;DR: The occurrence of within-nest mating in communal species, combined with strong selection against inbreeding in the Hymenoptera, appears to select for female-biased dispersal, which results in a population-wide decrease in intracolony relatedness, thereby maintaining cooperation among nonkin in communal Hymanoptera.
