Graphical analysis of PET data applied to reversible and irreversible tracers.
431
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors apply graphical analysis to both reversible and irreversibly binding tracers in order to provide insight into the binding kinetics of tracer kinetics in a visual way, and some problems encountered in separating tracer delivery and binding are considered.

Striatal Dopamine Responses to Feeding are Altered in People with Obesity.
Sarah A. Eisenstein,Kevin J. Black,Amjad Samara,Jonathan M. Koller,Julia P. Dunn,Tamara Hershey,Samuel Klein,Gordon I. Smith +7 more
TL;DR: This study determined whether striatal dopamine release is affected by food ingestion and whether the DA response to high‐calorie food images is greater in the fasted than in the fed state in people with obesity.
Molecular and Functional Imaging in Radiation Oncology
TL;DR: Although they are based on quite different imaging processes, the terms functional and molecular imaging are often used interchangeably, due to a lack of consensus regarding their definitions.

Glucose Transporter Type I Deficiency and Other Glucose Flux Disorders
Juan M. Pascual,Dong Wang,Darryl C. De Vivo +2 more
- 01 Jan 2015
TL;DR: Patients with glucose transporter (GLUT) type I deficiency are haploinsufficient in SLC2A1, the gene that encodes the GLUT isoforms present in red blood cells, endothelial cells of the blood–brain barrier, and astrocytes, and it is unknown how this impacts other aspects of brain development and even postdevelopment brain function.

Limitations of bi-linear regression analysis for the determination of receptor occupancy with positron emission tomography
TL;DR: Investigation of the sensitivity of the bi-linear reference tissue method to statistical noise, with special regard to the assessment of receptor occupancy, found the equilibrium specific-to-non-specific partition coefficient V′′3 was significantly underestimated.

Comparison of methods for evaluating radiolabelled Annexin A5 uptake in pre-clinical PET oncological studies
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that the quantification method as well as the controls used can be important for interpreting the uptake in tumours of the medium-sized protein ligand AnxA5 and its use in monitoring the effects of therapy on cell death in the tumours.

Graphical Evaluation of Blood-to-Brain Transfer Constants from Multiple-Time Uptake Data:
TL;DR: A theoretical model of blood–brain exchange is developed and a procedure is derived that can be used for graphing multiple-time tissue uptake data and determining whether a unidirectional transfer process was dominant during part or all of the experimental period.
Graphical Evaluation of Blood-to-Brain Transfer Constants from Multiple-Time Uptake Data. Generalizations:
TL;DR: General equations are derived that can be used to analyze tissue uptake data when the blood–plasma concentration of the test substance cannot be easily measured and for situations when trapping of theTest substance is incomplete and for a combination of these two conditions.

Distribution Volume Ratios without Blood Sampling from Graphical Analysis of PET Data
Jean Logan,Joanna S. Fowler,Nora D. Volkow,Nora D. Volkow,Gene-Jack Wang,Yu-Shin Ding,David Alexoff +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a graphical method for determining the distribution volume ratio (DVR), which is a linear function of receptor availability, which does not require blood sampling and is widely used as a model parameter in imaging studies.

Graphical analysis of reversible radioligand binding from time-activity measurements applied to [N-11C-methyl]-(-)-cocaine PET studies in human subjects
Jean Logan,Joanna S. Fowler,Nora D. Volkow,Alfred P. Wolf,Stephen L. Dewey,David J. Schlyer,Robert R. MacGregor,Robert Hitzemann,Bernard Bendriem,S. John Gatley,David R. Christman +10 more
TL;DR: It can be shown that, for many systems, linearity is effectively reached some time before this, and this method provides an easy, rapid method for comparison of the reproducibility of repeated measures in a single subject, for longitudinal or drug intervention protocols, or for comparing experimental results between subjects.

Comparison of bolus and infusion methods for receptor quantitation: application to [18F]cyclofoxy and positron emission tomography.
Richard E. Carson,Michael A. Channing,Ronald G. Blasberg,Bonnie B. Dunn,Robert M. Cohen,Kenner C. Rice,Peter Herscovitch +6 more
TL;DR: An infusion protocol consisting of bolus plus continuous infusion of CF was designed and applied and has the potential to shorten scan time and simplify the acquisition and processing of scan and blood data.
