Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a blow plug to be normally controlled to a constant temperature, with a small loss of power even though the battery voltage varies, by employing the glow plug having no temperature coefficient CONSTITUTION:With a starting switch 2 closed, a timer 3 provides an output signal only for a specified time in response to voltage VB of a battery 1 During said specified time, a power transistor 7 is turned ON by a theoretical circuit 5 and a driving circuit 6 to force a glow plug 9 having little temperature coefficient to generate heat The time is set to a time for which the glow plug 9 is heated up to 900 degC During operation of the timer 3, a pulse signal from a 1/VB pulse generating circuit 4 is brought to a stop After the timer 3 is turned OFF, the glow plug 9 is controlled by means of the duty pulse of the 1/VB pulse generating circuit 4 The simple circuit constitution as described above enables highly precise generation of a 1/VB pulse, and permits the electric energy fed by the glow plug to be controlled to a desired value
