Abstract: This paper presents the CUCKOO SEARCH based implementation of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) under partial shading conditions. The PV system depends on the solar irradiation and any changes in the incoming solar irradiation will have a serious impact on the PV system performance. Partial shading on PV system will affects power output, as well as it also increases complexity in MPP tracking as system shows numerous maximum power points on characteristics of P-V .The research in this paper is focussed on 6×4 TCT Configuration of PV array to bring out maximum energy under any environmental condition. In this context, Cuckoo search algorithm is applied under considered shadowing scenario. System model is developed and tested in MATLAB / Simulink environment.
