Abstract: Explicit forms for the six coefficients of a generalized quadric surface are given in terms of the parameters of a tilted and displaced elliptical or hyperbolic surface The parent conic parameters, together with the values for its tilt and displacement, are then related to the physical conic concentrators The parent conic parameters are related to the concentrator's large and small aperture sizes and the angle of the limiting ray

- 15 Jul 1999
TL;DR: In this paper, a condenser for a ring-field extreme ultra-violet (EUV) projection lithography camera is presented, which consists of a gently undulating mirror, referred to as a ripple plate, and which is illuminated by a collimated beam at grazing incidence.

Heat trap with flare as multimode antenna
TL;DR: A heat trap, also called a Winston cone or compound parabolic concentrator, has been designed and built to serve as the beam defining optic for the far-infrared absolute spectrophotometer on the Cosmic Background Explorer satellite.
