Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress occurrence of distortion due to an excess input at a 1st stage amplifier section when an input signal level gets higher. CONSTITUTION:A variable attenuation section 1, an amplifier section 2 and a level control section 3 form a 1st stage gain control loop and a variable attenuation section 4, an amplifier section 5 and a level control section 6 form a 2nd stage gain control loop. The variable attenuation sections 1,4 attenuate the signal respectively in response to control signals G1, G2. The level control signals 3,6 detect respectively the amplifier sections 2,5 to generate the control signals G1, G2 so as to make an output level constant.
