ACL tibial spine avulsion: Mid-term outcomes and rehabilitation
Jedediah H. May,Bruce A. Levy,Darlene M. Guse,Jay Pravin Shah,Michael J. Stuart,Diane L. Dahm +5 more
TL;DR: It is found that age older than 18 years was a statistically significant factor for lower outcome scores and two factors trended toward significance including; those with comminution had lower Tegner scores, and those with early range of motion returned to previous activity level more frequently.

Screw and wire fixation for Lisfranc fracture dislocations
Sushant D Ghate,Vidyasagar M Sistla,Vijay Nemade,Dinesh Vibhute,Sunil M. Shahane,Ashwin Samant +5 more
TL;DR: Anatomic reduction is the main predictor of outcome in patients with Lisfranc fracture dislocations, and post-traumatic arthritis occurred significantly more often in Patients with non-anatomic than anatomic reduction.

Evaluation of suspected physical abuse in children: a 500-case study.
TL;DR: All orthopedists should be alert to suspected AACA in children with trauma below the age of three, even without classic signs of abuse.

Modified Pauwels’ intertrochanteric osteotomy in the management of nonunion of a femoral neck fracture following failed osteosynthesis
Narender Kumar Magu,Rohit Singla,Rajesh Rohilla,Paritosh Gogna,Reetyadyuti Mukhopadhyay,Amanpreet Singh +5 more
TL;DR: A modified Pauwels' intertrochanteric osteotomy is a reliable method of treating ununited fractures of the femoral neck following failed osteosynthesis: coxa vara and shortening can also simultaneously be addressed.

An Unusual Monteggia Equivalent: A Case Report with Literature Review
TL;DR: A case of a 6-year-old boy who sustained a fracture of proximal ulna with ipsilateral supracondylar fracture humerus is presented and it is suggested that the fracture pattern can be included under type I Monteggia equivalent on the basis of its characteristics, biomechanics and the mode of injury.

Anatomic reduction of old displaced lateral condylar fractures of the humerus in children via a posterior approach with olecranon osteotomy.
TL;DR: Five out of six children had regained full range of motion and symmetric carrying angles at the latest follow-up 2 to 11 years later and olecranon osteotomy via a posterior approach is recommended in treating late cases of type 3 lateral condylar fracture of the elbow with significant displacement in children.

TL;DR: A consecutive series of pediatric patients with lateral humeral condyle fractures with and without elbow dislocation are evaluated and the groups' results are compared.

Developmental disorders of the proximal epiphysis of the hallux.
TL;DR: The development and developmental variation of the proximal epiphysis of the hallux have been studied in 1,500 children who presented to the Emergency Department with minor injuries and 25% of those with epiphyseal fragmentation were found to be suffering from hallux rigidus.

Compartmental syndrome complicating Salter-Harris type II distal radius fracture.
Vincent Santoro,John Mara +1 more
TL;DR: An accurate physical examination and awareness of the syndrome are essential for diagnosis, and adequate decompression of all involved compartments, including carpal tunnel release, is essential.

Compression (Salter-Harris Type V) physeal fracture: an experimental model in the rat.
TL;DR: Previously theorized traumatic physeal injuries, implicated in subsequent growth disturbances and seen clinically in association with ipsilateral long bone fractures, were identified in this animal study.
