Abstract: We describe the design, construction, and operation of a new type of microwave spectrograph which allows the measurement of the resonant transitions of transient or otherwise short‐lived species. The spectrograph is composed of three parts: a Fabry–Perot cavity, a pulsed supersonic nozzle as a source for the sample, and the pulsed microwave Fourier transform method. Following a detailed discussion of the three above components in the spectrograph, the operation of the entire system is described and several examples are given.

TL;DR: In this paper, a pulsed-nozzle Fourier transform microwave spectrometer was combined with a 532-nm laser ablation source to obtain the J ǫ = 2 −1 −2 −1 → 1 transitions of the previously unobserved isotopologues 41 K 79 Br and 41 K 81 Br.

Microwave-Based Structure and Four-Dimensional Morphed Intermolecular Potential for HI-CO2
Wolfgang Jabs,Fabrice F. Willaert,Blake A. McElmurry,Luis A. Rivera-Rivera,Raffaele Montuoro,Robert R. Lucchese,John W. Bevan,Richard D. Suenram +7 more
TL;DR: A four-dimensional intermolecular energy surface of a HI-CO2 complex was generated, morphing the results of ab initio calculations to reproduce the experimental data, and the morphed potential obtained is now available for future studies of the dynamics of photoinitiated reactions of this complex.

Rotational spectra and structures of the van der Waals dimers of argon with 2-fluoropyridine and 3-fluoropyridine.
TL;DR: The rotational constants and (14)N nuclear quadrupole coupling constants derived from fitting the observed transitions were used to estimate the van der Waals coordinates of the two complexes.
