Extensions and intentions in the rough set theory
593
TL;DR: The approach to rough set theory proposed in this paper is based on the mutual correspondence of the concepts of extension and intension, which makes it possible to formulate necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of operations on rough sets, which are analogous to classical operations on sets.

Attribute reduction of covering decision systems by hypergraph model
TL;DR: First, it is shown that finding the attribute reduction of a covering decision system is equivalent to finding the minimal vertex cover of a derivative hypergraph, and a proposed model for covering decision systems based on graph theory is presented.

Rough Sets on Fuzzy Approximation Spaces and Intuitionistic Fuzzy Approximation Spaces
B. K. Tripathy
- 01 Jan 2009
TL;DR: This chapter shall be concentrating on the study of intuitionistic fuzzy proximity relations and rough sets, two notions of rough sets which are derived by relaxing the requirement of the basic relations to be equivalence relations.

Covering-Based generalized rough fuzzy sets
Tao Feng,Ju-Sheng Mi,Wei-Zhi Wu +2 more
- 24 Jul 2006
TL;DR: It is proved that the reduct of a covering is the minimal covering that generates the same covering-based fuzzy lower (or upper) approximation operator, so this concept is also a technique to get rid of redundancy in data mining.

Cost-Sensitive Feature Selection of Numeric Data with Measurement Errors
Hong Zhao,Fan Min,William Zhu +2 more
TL;DR: A new data model is built to address test costs and misclassification costs as well as error boundaries and a new cost-sensitive feature selection problem is defined on this model, which is more realistic than the existing feature selection problems.
Algebraic Methods for Granular Rough Sets
A. Mani
- 01 Jan 2018
TL;DR: The axiomatic approach in algebraic approaches to general rough sets had been introduced in an explicit formal way by the present author and most of the results and techniques that are granular in this sense are considered critically in some detail in this research chapter.

On rough sets
TL;DR: The presented approach may be considered as an alternative to fuzzy sets theory and tolerance theory and some applications are outlined.
Restructuring lattice theory: an approach based on hierarchies of concepts
Rudolf Wille
- 12 May 2009
TL;DR: Restructuring lattice theory is an attempt to reinvigorate connections with the authors' general culture by interpreting the theory as concretely as possible, and in this way to promote better communication between lattice theorists and potential users of lattices theory.

- 01 Jan 1984
TL;DR: This paper presents a meta-analyses of the models used for estimating the response of the immune system to the attacks of radiation and shows clear patterns in response to known attacks.
