Extensions and intentions in the rough set theory
593
TL;DR: The approach to rough set theory proposed in this paper is based on the mutual correspondence of the concepts of extension and intension, which makes it possible to formulate necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of operations on rough sets, which are analogous to classical operations on sets.

Two new fuzzy covering-based rough approximation operators via inclusion degree
Lu Gao,Bingxue Yao,Lingqiang Li +2 more
TL;DR: Zhou et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated two fuzzy covering-based rough set models by replacing inclusion relation with implication degree, which makes their upper approximation smaller than Zhou's upper approximation, while the lower approximation is larger than Zhou's.
Covering-based rough fuzzy sets and binary relation
TL;DR: This paper studies covering-based rough fuzzy sets in which a fuzzy set can be approximated by the intersection of some elements in a covering of the universe of discourse.
Automatic Classification of Graphs by Symbolic Histograms
G. Del Vescovo,Antonello Rizzi +1 more
- 02 Nov 2007
TL;DR: An automatic classification system coping with graph patterns with node and edge labels belonging to continuous vector spaces is proposed, using a genetic algorithm and a K-nn classifier as the core inductive inference engine.
A general reduction algorithm for relation decision systems and its applications
Guilong Liu,Zheng Hua,Zehua Chen +2 more
TL;DR: A new discernibility matrix is proposed to solve the attribute reduction problem for general relation decision systems and it is proposed that the results of classical attribute reduction approaches to be reinterpreted, giving them far greater unification and generality.
On covering rough sets
Keyun Qin,Yan Gao,Zheng Pei +2 more
- 14 May 2007
TL;DR: This paper is devoted to the discussion of extended covering rough set models based on the notion of neighborhood, and five pairs of dual covering approximation operators were defined with their properties being discussed.

TL;DR: The presented approach may be considered as an alternative to fuzzy sets theory and tolerance theory and some applications are outlined.
Restructuring lattice theory: an approach based on hierarchies of concepts
Rudolf Wille
- 12 May 2009
TL;DR: Restructuring lattice theory is an attempt to reinvigorate connections with the authors' general culture by interpreting the theory as concretely as possible, and in this way to promote better communication between lattice theorists and potential users of lattices theory.

- 01 Jan 1984
TL;DR: This paper presents a meta-analyses of the models used for estimating the response of the immune system to the attacks of radiation and shows clear patterns in response to known attacks.
