Abstract: A latent, thermosettable, melt-flowable sheet material comprising at least two layers, one of which is expandable and flowable, and the other of which flows to encapsulate the expandable layer between it and a substrate to which the sheet material has been adhered. A latent, thermosettable, melt-flowable sheet material which can be cured to provide a weatherable layer is also disclosed. Still further, a method for imparting topographical or protective features to a substrate such as a metal joint of an automobile body is disclosed.
