Abstract: The following theorem is established. Among all static, asymptotically flat vacuum space-times with closed simply connected equipotential surfaces ${g}_{00}=\mathrm{constant}$, the Schwarzschild solution is the only one which has a nonsingular infinite-red-shift surface ${g}_{00}=0$. Thus there exists no static asymmetric perturbation of the Schwarzschild manifold due to internal sources (e.g., a quadrupole moment) which will preserve a regular event horizon. Possible implications of this result for asymmetric gravitational collapse are briefly discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, a classification of stationary, appropriately regular, non-degenerate and analytic electro-vacuum space-times in terms of Weinstein solutions is presented. But this classification is based on a new and explicit definition of regularity (I-regularity).

Scaling symmetry and scalar hairy Lifshitz black holes

Spin-precessing black hole binaries in dynamical Chern-Simons gravity
TL;DR: In this article, the spin-spin and quadrupole-monopole interactions of general relativity are modified due to an interaction between the scalar dipoles of the two black holes and the modified black hole quadrupoles as a result of the violation of the no hair theorems.

TL;DR: In this article, a static vacuum line element is derived which represents the field of a collinear set of spherically symmetric masses and a limiting process applied to this line-element yields an explicit global solution of a problem first considered by Bondi.

Possible Instability in the Self-closure Phenomenon in Gravitational Collapse
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors point out that models with exact spherical symmetry possess idiosyncrasies which render them dangerous, and perhaps misleading, as a basis for induction, and they suggest that such models are not suitable for induction.
