Towards sustainable separation of the ternary azeotropic mixture based on the intensified reactive-extractive distillation configurations and multi-objective particle swarm optimization
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a novel approach that involves the conceptual design, multi-objective optimization, and process evaluations for developing two different processes, i.e., double-column reactive-extractive distillation (DCRED) and reactiveextractive dividing wall column (REDWC), for the separation of ethanol/ tert-butanol/water ternary azeotropic mixture.

Intensification and analysis of extractive distillation processes with preconcentration for separating ethyl acetate, isopropanol and water azeotropic mixtures
TL;DR: In this article , the feasibility of the proposed processes is evaluated from four aspect: economy, energy consumption, environment, exergy analysis, and the results show that these five processes have a good effect of energy saving and cost saving, especially, the vapor recompressed heat pump assisted CTE process (HP-CTE) which is the most energy saving scheme, can reduce 37.80% of total annual cost.
