Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encryption data delivery system, where data resulting from digitalizing contents which are works, such as movies are stored in a large-capacity medium such as a digital optical disk, particularly designated terminals among all terminals cannot acquire the original data but all other terminals can acquire the original data completely. SOLUTION: The encryption data delivery system is provided with two kinds of encryption sections: one uses tree structure division method and the other uses secret dispersion method. Those two methods are used, in such a way that when the number of the invalidated terminals is within the permissible range of the secret dispersion method, the secret dispersion method is selected; or when the number of the invalidated terminals exceeds the permissible range or a lot of invalidated terminals take place, the tree structure division method is used.
