A strongly robust type II Weyl fermion semimetal state in Ta3S2.
Guoqing Chang,Su-Yang Xu,Daniel S. Sanchez,Shin-Ming Huang,Chi-Cheng Lee,Tay-Rong Chang,Tay-Rong Chang,Guang Bian,Hao Zheng,Ilya Belopolski,Nasser Alidoust,Horng-Tay Jeng,Horng-Tay Jeng,Arun Bansil,Hsin Lin,M. Zahid Hasan +15 more
TL;DR: Ta3S2 has the largest k-space separation between Weyl nodes among known Weyl semimetal candidates, which is about twice larger than the measured value in TaAs and 20 times larger than that in WTe2, and is predicted to drive a novel topological metal-to-insulator transition from a Weyl Semimetal state to a topological insulator state.
Atomic-Scale Visualization of Quantum Interference on a Weyl Semimetal Surface by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy.
Hao Zheng,Su-Yang Xu,Guang Bian,Cheng Guo,Guoqing Chang,Daniel S. Sanchez,Ilya Belopolski,Chi-Cheng Lee,Shin-Ming Huang,Xiao Zhang,Raman Sankar,Nasser Alidoust,Tay-Rong Chang,Tay-Rong Chang,Fan Wu,Titus Neupert,Fangcheng Chou,Horng-Tay Jeng,Horng-Tay Jeng,Nan Yao,Arun Bansil,Shuang Jia,Hsin Lin,M. Zahid Hasan +23 more
TL;DR: The first atomic scale view of the surface states of a Weyl semimetal (NbP) using scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy is reported, and coherent quantum interference patterns that arise from the scattering of quasiparticles near point defects on the surface are observed.

On the search for the chiral anomaly in Weyl semimetals: The negative longitudinal magnetoresistance
R. D. dos Reis,M. O. Ajeesh,Nitesh Kumar,Frank Arnold,Chandra Shekhar,Marcel Naumann,Marcus Schmidt,Michael Nicklas,Elena Hassinger +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present experimental evidence that the observation of the chiral magnetic effect can be hindered by an effect called "current jetting", which also leads to a strong apparent NMR, but it is characterized by a highly nonuniform current distribution inside the sample.

Spin Polarization and Texture of the Fermi Arcs in the Weyl Fermion Semimetal TaAs.
Su-Yang Xu,Ilya Belopolski,Daniel S. Sanchez,Madhab Neupane,Madhab Neupane,Madhab Neupane,Guoqing Chang,Koichiro Yaji,Zhujun Yuan,Chenglong Zhang,Kenta Kuroda,Guang Bian,Cheng Guo,Hong Lu,Tay-Rong Chang,Nasser Alidoust,Hao Zheng,Chi-Cheng Lee,Shin-Ming Huang,Chuang-Han Hsu,Horng-Tay Jeng,Horng-Tay Jeng,Arun Bansil,Titus Neupert,Fumio Komori,Takeshi Kondo,Shik Shin,Hsin Lin,Shuang Jia,M. Zahid Hasan +29 more
TL;DR: The observed nondegenerate property of the Fermi arcs is important for establishing its exact topological nature, which reveals that spins on the arc form a novel type of 2D matter, and the nearly full spin polarization observed may be useful in spintronic applications.

Dirac semimetal in type-IV magnetic space groups
TL;DR: In this article, the Dirac semimetals (DSMs) in the magnetic space groups (MSGs) were studied, and a category of DSMs in centrosymmetric type-IV MSGs, where the DPs were protected by inversion symmetry, nonsymmorphic time-reversal symmetry, and suitable rotation symmetry.
