TL;DR: Hirsch et al. as mentioned in this paper described further experiments on the preparation of thin film sections of embedded Backscatter Kikuchi diffraction in the SEM for identification of crystallographic thin films by electron microscopy.

The influence of microstructure on low temperature creep of ti-5 al-2.5 sn
Anthony W. Thompson,B.C. Odegard +1 more
- 01 Apr 1973
TL;DR: In this article, three processing histories were studied: bar stock and forgings made in the α and β ranges, and it was concluded that the observed transient creep had arisen from exhaustion of the easiest sources at each stress level.

Cluster-dynamics modelling of defects in α-iron under cascade damage conditions
E. Meslin,A. Barbu,L. Boulanger,Bertrand Radiguet,Philippe Pareige,Kazuto Arakawa,Chu-Chun Fu +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a rate theory numerical code capable to reproduce the agglomeration of point-defects produced in α-iron by irradiation under cascade damage conditions is presented.

The growth and structure of epitaxial films and heterojunctions of II–VI compounds
TL;DR: In this paper, the growth of films of the Zn and Cd chalcogenides by evaporation in vacuum is reviewed and improved growth techniques have been adopted and better II-VI materials have become available, which has had two main effects: minimum epitaxial growth temperatures have been lowered and structural perfection of the films has been improved.

Solid‐State Combustion in Mechanically Activated SHS Systems. II. Effect of Mechanical Activation Conditions on Process Parameters and Combustion Product Composition
Michail A. Korchagin,T. F. Grigor’eva,Boris B. Bokhonov,M. R. Sharafutdinov,A. P. Barinova,Nikolay Z. Lyakhov +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of mechanical activation conditions in a planetary ball mill on the main parameters of SHS processes and combustion product composition was studied for Ni + 13 wt. % Al and Ni + 45 wt % Ti compositions.

Tweed microstructures III. Origin of the tweed contrast in p and y Ni-Al alloys
I. M. Robertson,C. M. Wayman +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the diffuse diffraction effects and simulated tweed contrast using kinematic diffraction theory, making use of their observations on Cu-Zn and Ni-Al alloys, wo show that the tweed microstructure is in fact a manifestation of 〈110〉〈lT0〉displacement waves.
