Investigation of the corrosion behaviour of AA 2024-T3 in low concentrated chloride media
TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion behavior of AA 2024-T3 in low-concentrated chloride media was investigated using microscopy and electrochemical methods, and the results of the electrochemical investigations, in accordance with the SEM/EDS observations, evidenced that IMs corrosion dominates the electrochem response of the alloy during the first hours of immersion in the test electrolyte.

Simulation and control of microstructure evolution during hot extrusion of hard aluminium alloys
X Duan,Terry Sheppard +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, some physical models which are based on dislocation density, subgrain size, and misorientation have been integrated into a commercial finite element modeling program simulating extrusion.

Diamond and diamond-like films: Deposition from the vapour phase, structure and properties
TL;DR: A review of the synthesis of carbon films with diamond and diamond-like structures by condensing ion beams and by ionic, plasma, chemical and other methods of deposition is presented in this paper.

The critical voltage effect in high voltage electron microscopy
TL;DR: In this paper, the many-beam dynamical theory of the critical voltage effect is presented, and a simple approximate equation is derived for calculating approximate values of critical voltage for a given material and reflection.

The limitation of the transmission electron microscope for characterization of supported metal catalysts
TL;DR: In this article, the accuracy of particle size distributions determined from electron micrographs from both theoretical and experimental points of view was examined from both the perspective of particle detectability and apparent size.
