Effects of pre-fatigue damage on high-cycle fatigue behavior and chloride permeability of RC beams
24
TL;DR: In this article, high cycle fatigue behaviors (crack widths, deflection and fatigue life) and chloride permeability of RC beams were experimentally investigated and it was shown that the fatigue behaviors of RC beam are greatly affected by the loading level and chloride corrosion, but they are rarely influenced by the initial fatigue loading cycles.

Uncertainty quantification of fatigue S-N curves with sparse data using hierarchical Bayesian data augmentation
TL;DR: A new method is proposed to integrate the hierarchical Bayesian modeling (HBM) and Bayesian data augmentation (BDA) to deal with sparse data problem specifically for fatigue S-N curves, and it is shown that the HBDA methods have better performance compared with the classical method and HBM/BDA alone.

Fatigue life prediction for the reinforced concrete (RC) beams under the actions of chloride attack and fatigue
TL;DR: Based on the Fick's 2nd law and Paris law, a fatigue life prediction model for RC beams under the combined actions of chloride attack and fatigue is proposed in this paper, which can produce reliable fatigue life predictions according to the validation results, and it is proved that the crack initiation significantly affects the fatigue life due to its large proportion.
