1. What challenges were overcome in the past five years?
In the past five years, the Journal of Clinical and Health Sciences (JCS-HU/UFPI) faced and overcame various challenges. Despite these difficulties, the journal continued to contribute to the dissemination and development of scientific research in the field of health and related sciences. The journal grew, improved, and modernized, reaffirming its commitment to promoting scientific communication in health and academic development. With a focus on growth, the journal gained recognition for its work and was included in the Qualis index, a classification that assigns a rating to each periodical, enhancing international indicator benchmarks, credibility, and visibility. In its third and final volume of 2022, the journal received several manuscripts with interesting topics, including epidemiological, documentary, and quantitative studies addressing regional health at both the national and state levels. One notable study published in this volume was a comparative analysis of mortality rates, hospitalizations, and hospital expenditures related to stroke in the state of Piaui and Brazil from 2011 to 2021. The study utilized data collected from the Hospital Information System (SIH) and the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS).
