A double-blind study in healthy volunteers to assess the effects on sleep of pregabalin compared with alprazolam and placebo.
TL;DR: Pregabalin appears to have an effect on sleep and sleep architecture that distinguishes it from benzodiazepines, and Enhancement of slow-wave sleep is intriguing.

The roles of dopamine and serotonin in decision making: evidence from pharmacological experiments in humans.
TL;DR: It is suggested that the role played by serotonin in the regulation of cognitive biases, and representation of context in learning, point toward a role in the cortically mediated cognitive appraisal of reinforcers when selecting between actions, potentially accounting for its influence upon the processing salient aversive outcomes and social choice.

The neurobiological basis of narcolepsy.
TL;DR: The functions of orexin neurons and the effects of their loss are described and evidence implicating the immune system in the pathogenesis of the disorder is reviewed.

The roles of the reward system in sleep and dreaming.
TL;DR: The Reward Activation Model (RAM) for sleep and dreaming is introduced, according to which activation of the ML-DA reward system during sleep contributes to memory processes, to the regulation of rapid-eye movement (REM) sleep, and to the generation and motivational content of dreams.
