Abstract: The invention relates to a wireless cellular mobile communication system, in particular to an implementing technology of a dual mode mobile terminal. The technology mainly realizes the switch of two networks A and B through signal detection. More particularly, a network is selected by the user for residence, and when the user travels out of the area which the selected network can cover, the terminal can automatically switch the network mode to another network in time so as to guarantee the continuity of the mobile communication service. In addition, the method of the invention can detect and reside in the network the user preferentially configures according to the configuration of network priority by the user. The technology of the invention has the advantages of promoting the degree of satisfaction of the users at the early stage of the network establishment or for the low-end terminals and having simpler implementation.
