Abstract: Bei den dissoziativen Bewusstseinsstorungen stehen Storungen des Gedachtnisses, der Selbstwahrnehmung und des Identitatsbewusstseins im Vordergrund. Retrograde Erinnerungsdefizite an wichtige biografische Ereignisse kennzeichnen dissoziative Amnesien. Vielfaltige Entfremdungserlebnisse im Sinne von Depersonalisations- und Derealisationserfahrungen stellen Storungen der Selbst-, Korper- und Umwelterfahrung dar. Identitatskonfusionen und -alterationen sind charakteristisch fur dissoziative Identitatsstorungen. Die Symptomatik kann fluktuierend oder uberdauernd sein und steht haufig im Zusammenhang mit singularen oder kumulativen biografischen Belastungen.
