Abstract: Three indole alkaloids, dilemmaones A-C (1-3), were isolated from a mixture of sponges that was collected near Cape Town, South Africa. The structures of dilemmaones A-C (1-3) were elucidated by interpretation of spectroscopic data. The dilemma caused by faulty differentiation of similar specimens in the field is discussed in detail.

The trikentrins: novel indoles from the sponge Trikentrion flabelliforme
TL;DR: In this article, five new indoles, cis-trikentrin A (1), trans -trikentin A (2), trans-, trans-, tritrikentin B (3), cis-Trikentin B (4), and iso-trans-trans-, trans-tritnikentrin B (5), were isolated from the marine sponge Trikentrion flabelliforme and all possess antimicrobial activity.

Polyalkylated cyclopentindoles: Cytotoxic fish antifeedants from a sponge, Axinella sp.
TL;DR: A Western Australian sponge yielded three polyalkylated indoles unsubstituted at C3, thus apparently not derived from tryptophan, which are cytotoxic against KB cells and are fish antifeedants.
