Differential sensitivity of liposarcoma subtypes to chemotherapy.
339
TL;DR: A retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained database of soft tissue sarcoma patients treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital suggests that myxoid liposarcoma is relatively chemosensitive in comparison to a combination of other liposARcomas, and in particular de- and well-differentiated tumours.

Establishment and characterisation of a new patient-derived model of myxoid liposarcoma with acquired resistance to trabectedin
Ezia Bello,Silvia Brich,Ilaria Craparotta,Laura Mannarino,Sara Ballabio,Raffaella Gatta,Sergio Marchini,Laura Carrassa,Cristina Matteo,Roberta Sanfilippo,Alessandro Gronchi,Paolo G. Casali,Silvana Pilotti,Maurizio D'Incalci,Roberta Frapolli +14 more
TL;DR: This is the first in vivo model of myxoid liposarcoma with acquired resistance to trabectedin, and is a useful tool for studying new therapeutic strategies to overcome trabectionin resistance in patients.

TL;DR: Wahrend die mediane Uberlebenszeit von Patienten mit Nicht-GIST-Weichgewebesarkom fruher 10–12 Monate betrug, liegt diese in neuerer Zeit bei 15–18 Monaten.
Metastatic soft tissue sarcoma chemotherapy: an opportunity for personalized medicine.
Damon R. Reed,Soner Altiok +1 more
TL;DR: A method to predict response or resistance to chemotherapy, utilizing both targeted and conventional agents, would be beneficial in reducing toxicity and improving response rates for patients with STS and also in designing clinical trials for this disease.
Molecular characteristics and systemic treatment options of liposarcoma: A systematic review
X J Zhou,Jing Xing,Lei Sun,Sixin Tian,Ran Luo,Wenhao Liu,Xinyuan Song,Shuohui Gao +7 more
TL;DR: The biological characteristics, molecular alterations, as well as surgical and pharmacological treatments of various LPS subtypes are reviewed, with the aim of enhancing clinicians' understanding and emphasizing the importance of individualized precision therapy.
Clinical Activity and Tolerability of a 14-Day Infusional Ifosfamide Schedule in Soft-Tissue Sarcoma

TL;DR: Ifosfamide administered as a 14-day continuous infusion is a safe regimen in STS with notable activity in DDLPS, and neither hypoalbuminaemia nor gender was found to predict toxicity, although encephalopathy predominantly affected females.

Nonparametric Estimation from Incomplete Observations
Edward L. Kaplan,Paul Meier +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the product-limit (PL) estimator was proposed to estimate the proportion of items in the population whose lifetimes would exceed t (in the absence of such losses), without making any assumption about the form of the function P(t).

Monique Trojani,Geneviève Contesso,Jean Michel Coindre,Jacques Rouëssé,Nguyen Binh Bui,A. De Mascarel,J. F. Goussot,Marc David,Françoise Bonichon,Lagarde C +9 more
TL;DR: A second multivariate analysis introducing clinical prognostic features showed that the histological grade was the most important prognostic factor for soft‐tissue sarcomas and appears to be highly interesting because of its prognostic value and the facility of its elaboration.

TL;DR: The FNCLCC system showed slightly increased ability to predict distant metastasis development and tumor mortality, and the use of this system to evaluate STS aggressiveness might be favored.
