Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a developer seal device capable of holding high seal performance without increasing the friction resistance with a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A seal member 1 has two circular sections 2, 3 stuck to each other with an adhesive. The circular section 2 is made of a porous sheet-like elastic body, and the cell diameter of the elastic body is 0.1-20mum. The circular section 3 is made of a porous elastic body, and the cell diameter of the elastic body is 2-80mum. The seal member 1 covers a gap formed between the small- diameter section 19a of a stirring shaft 19 and a developer container 16, and the toner in the developer container 16 is prevented from leaking to the outside from the gap.
