Dependency Structure Matrix and Hierarchical Clustering based algorithm for optimum module identification in MEP systems
TL;DR: An automated efficient modularisation algorithm has been developed using an approach which combines fuzzy logic, Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) and Hierarchical Clustering methods, and it is shown that the optimum modularity for a system is highly dependent on the module dimensions and the module division point.

Incremental technical innovations and their determinants
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classified incremental technical innovation in manufacturing as material, operations, scale and product innovations and found that their source and efforts directed are different and therefore it is imperative to identify the predictors of each.

The Mirroring Hypothesis: Theory and Evidence on the Correspondence between the Structure of Products and Organizations
Lyra J. Colfer
- 01 Jan 2007
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explain the theoretical underpinnings of the mirroring hypothesis and review the empirical evidence for and against it, concluding that conventional views on mirroring are too simplistic and that a contingent theory is needed to explain when it holds, as well as when and why it may not hold.

Collaborative purchasing of complex technologies in healthcare: Implications for alignment strategies
Chiara Gobbi,Juliana Hsuan +1 more
TL;DR: Investigation of how buyers and the vendors pursue alignment in collaborative purchasing of complex medical technologies in the Danish National Healthcare System finds shareholder alignment requires appropriate management of the relationships, expertise and guidance in simplifying procedures and effectivemanagement of the purchasing group.

Towards a decision support for modular integrated construction: an integrative review of the primary decision-making actors
TL;DR: Modular integrated construction (MiC) becomes a superior choice of construction method over the traditional approach when circumstances merit and favourable conditions prevail.
