Abstract: A textbook for beginners in security. In this new first edition, well-known author Behrouz Forouzan uses his accessible writing style and visual approach to simplify the difficult concepts of cryptography and network security. This edition also provides a website that includes Powerpoint files as well as instructor and students solutions manuals. Forouzan presents difficult security topics from the ground up. A gentle introduction to the fundamentals of number theory is provided in the opening chapters, paving the way for the student to move on to more complex security and cryptography topics. Difficult math concepts are organized in appendices at the end of each chapter so that students can first learn the principles, then apply the technical background. Hundreds of examples, as well as fully coded programs, round out a practical, hands-on approach which encourages students to test the material they are learning.

Leveraging quantum annealing for large MIMO processing in centralized radio access networks
Minsung Kim,Davide Venturelli,Kyle Jamieson +2 more
- 19 Aug 2019
TL;DR: This work has implemented QuAMax on the 2,031 qubit D-Wave 2000Q quantum annealer, the state-of-the-art in the field, and evaluated that implementation on real and synthetic MIMO channel traces, showing that 10 µs of compute time on the 2000Q can enable 48 user, 48 AP antenna BPSK communication at 20 dB SNR.
Resilient First-Order Consensus and Weakly Stable, Higher Order Synchronization of Continuous-Time Networked Multiagent Systems
TL;DR: A resilient consensus protocol as well as dynamic state and output feedback control laws for the normal agents, to achieve the resilient consensus and synchronization objectives, respectively are presented.

An Enhanced and Secured RSA Key Generation Scheme (ESRKGS)
M. Thangavel,P. Varalakshmi,Mukund Murrali,K. Nithya +3 more
- 01 Feb 2015
TL;DR: A modified and an enhanced scheme based on RSA public-key cryptosystem is developed which makes use of four large prime numbers which increases the complexity of the system as compared to traditional RSA algorithm which is based on only two largePrime numbers.
