TL;DR: The surface plasmon resonance effect of metallic Ag in the phosphorus doped ultrathin g-C3N4 nanosheets (PCNS) and BiVO4 composites is rationally employed to construct a ternary Ag@PCNS/BiVO4 photocatalyst, presenting enhanced photocatalytic ability than that of single component or binary nanocomposites under near-infrared light irradiation.
