Comparison Between Two Observers

TL;DR: Two novel observers are compared for the estimation of states because the observers are less expensive than the sensors, and Exponential stability of both observers is assured.

Abstract: The observers are used to estimate some variables of one system, they improve the sensors because the sensors obtain the measures with noise, while the observers obtain the measures without noise. Furthermore, the observers are less expensive than the sensors. In this paper, two novel observers are compared for the estimation of states. Exponential stability of both observers is assured. The proposed methods are verified by two examples.

Estimation of complex systems with parametric uncertainties using a JSSF heuristically adjusted.
TL;DR: An heuristic adjustment is proposed to improve the performance of the James-Stein State Filter (JSSF) even in the presence of measurement noise and the estimation of Chen and Lorenz attractors with uncertainties in their parameters is considered.

An Empirical Method for Estimating the Number of Signal Sources
TL;DR: The method is based on the analysis of the norms of vectors whose elements are the normalized eigenvalues of the received signal covariance matrix and the corresponding normalized indexes, allowing for the estimation of the number of sources without the knowledge of any additional parameter.

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-level controller that carries out the trajectory tracking task for a differential drive wheeled mobile robot (WMR) is presented, which considers the dynamics associated with the three subsystems that compose a WMR, i.e., mechanical structure, actuators and power stage.

Agent based state estimation in smart distribution grid
TL;DR: In this paper, a static state estimation strategy for a specific class of physical systems is proposed, where sensor nodes acting as agents estimate only a subset of states, instead of evaluating local estimates of global states.
