Abstract: The invention provides a communication method, a message transmission method, an identity identifier and location registration register, an access server and a system. The communication method comprises the following steps: in the process of processing a mapping relation query, the identity identifier and location registration register sends a mapping relation between an access identifier of a user terminal at a home terminal and a route identifier of the access server, which initiates the mapping relation query, to an access server at an opposite terminal if the user terminal at the home terminal is judged as a multi-access user terminal. According to the communication method, the message transmission method, the identity identifier and location registration register, the access server and the system, provided by the invention, a forward message and a reverse message of a same service can transmit in a same path when the communication is established between multi-access UE (user equipment) and the opposite terminal.
