Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of multimedia. Disclosed are a cloud server-based rendering method and system. The method comprises: a cloud server receiving a rendering request initiated by a requesting terminal; transmitting the rendering request to a third party server, and obtaining information required for rendering; obtaining a rendered image according to the information required for rendering and the rendering request; and transmitting the rendered image to the requesting terminal. The invention employs a cloud server and a third party server to perform rendering, thereby solving problems associated with storage and a memory space of a low-cost hardware platform.
