Abstract: Complex systems typically involve many stakeholder groups working in a coordinated manner on different aspects of a system. In Model-Driven Engineering (MDE), stakeholders work on models in order to design, transform, simulate, and analyze the system. Therefore, there is a growing need for collaborative platforms for modelers to work together. A cloud-based system allows them to concurrently work together. This chapter presents the challenges for building such environments. It also presents the architecture of a cloud-based multi-view modeling environment based on AToMPM.

Blended modeling in commercial and open-source model-driven software engineering tools: A systematic study
István Dávid,Malvina Latifaj,Jakob Pietron,Weixing Zhang,Federico Ciccozzi,Ivano Malavolta,Alexander Raschke,Jan-Philipp Steghöfer,Regina Hebig +8 more
TL;DR: The user-facing and implementation-related characteristics of existing modeling tools that already support multiple types of notations are investigated and mapped to map their support for other blended aspects, such as inconsistency tolerance, and elevated user experience.

- 01 Sep 2016
TL;DR: A quantification model for semantic in- consistencies in discrete and continuous systems is presented and characteristic behavioral patterns of inconsistencies based on this model are investigated and the links with various forms of tolerance are identified.
