TL;DR: For PFOS, the increase in serum total cholesterol in adults, and the decrease in antibody response at vaccination in children were identified as the critical effects and the CONTAM Panel established a tolerable weekly intake (TWI) of 13 ng/kg body weight (bw) per week for PFOS and 6 ng/ kg bw for PFOA.

Assessment of CYP1A2 enzyme activity in relation to type-2 diabetes and habitual caffeine intake.
TL;DR: Estimated CYP1A2 enzyme activity, and thus speed of caffeine metabolism, was higher in the type-2 diabetes group; this was possibly due to higher intake of caffeine, a known inducer of CYP 1A2 enzymes activity.
