Assessing the passive cooling effect of the ventilated pond protected with a reflecting layer
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated a new evaporative cooling technique, which is placed on the roof of a small building in the climate of Crete -Greece, where a pond is filled with water up to 0.10-0.12m deep while an aluminium layer is kept 0.15 above free water surface, allowing ventilation between water level and the aluminium shield.
