Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis Summary for Policymakers:
Abstract: The Working Group I contribution to the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report describes progress in understanding of the
human and natural drivers of climate change1, observed climate change, climate processes and attribution, and
estimates of projected future climate change. It builds upon past IPCC assessments and incorporates new findings from the past six years of research. Scientific progress since the TAR is based upon large amounts of new and more
comprehensive data, more sophisticated analyses of data, improvements in understanding of processes and their
simulation in models, and more extensive exploration of uncertainty ranges.

Increases in aerosol concentrations over eastern China due to the decadal‐scale weakening of the East Asian summer monsoon
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a chemical transport model driven by the assimilated meteorological fields to show that the observed decadal-scale weakening of the East Asian summer monsoon also contributed to the increases in aerosols in China.

Bronfenbrenner’s bioecological theory for modelling community resilience to natural disasters
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of bio-ecological systems theory as a framework to analyse resilience at diverse scales is discussed, where the authors explore resilience to natural disasters in the context of climatic change as building resilience is seen as a way to mitigate impacts of natural disasters.
Using Model-Data Fusion to Interpret Past Trends, and Quantify Uncertainties in Future Projections, of Terrestrial Ecosystem Carbon Cycling
TL;DR: In this article, the authors assess endogenous and exogenous uncertainties using a model-data fusion framework benchmarked with an artificial neural network (ANN) and show that exogenous uncertainty dominates uncertainty in future projections from a data-informed process-based model.
Applying climate model precipitation scenarios for urban hydrological assessment: a case study in Kalmar City, Sweden.
TL;DR: In this paper, a version of the Delta Change (DC) method is proposed in which these DC factors (DCFs) are related to the rainfall intensity level, which is achieved by calculating changes in the probability distribution of rainfall intensities and modelling the DCFs as a function of percentile.

Life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of hemp–lime wall constructions in the UK
Kenneth Ip,Andrew Miller +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify the processes and materials involved in the construction of hemp-lime walls and to establish their life cycle impact on climate change, using the SimaPro LCA tool over a lifetime of 100 years.
