Deep learning approach for microarray cancer data classification
TL;DR: A deep feedforward method to classify the given microarray cancer data into a set of classes for subsequent diagnosis purposes using a 7-layer deep neural network architecture having various parameters for each dataset is developed.

Versatile digital polymerase chain reaction chip design, fabrication, and image processing
Huanan Li,Haoqing Zhang,Ying Xu,Alzbeta Tureckova,Alzbeta Tureckova,Pavel Zahradník,Pavel Zahradník,Honglong Chang,Pavel Neuzil,Pavel Neuzil +9 more
TL;DR: The chip design provided a fast and reliable system for the absolute quantitative analysis of dPCR, and the universal fluorescence imaging method capable of processing images from those chips offered a pathway to enable fast and affordable digital microfluidic diagnostic applications.

Scale-space and edge detection using anisotropic diffusion
Pietro Perona,Jitendra Malik +1 more
TL;DR: A new definition of scale-space is suggested, and a class of algorithms used to realize a diffusion process is introduced, chosen to vary spatially in such a way as to encourage intra Region smoothing rather than interregion smoothing.
Quantitative monitoring of gene expression patterns with a complementary DNA microarray.
TL;DR: A high-capacity system was developed to monitor the expression of many genes in parallel by means of simultaneous, two-color fluorescence hybridization, which enabled detection of rare transcripts in probe mixtures derived from 2 micrograms of total cellular messenger RNA.

TL;DR: It is shown that there is diversity in gene expression among the tumours of DLBCL patients, apparently reflecting the variation in tumour proliferation rate, host response and differentiation state of the tumour.
Forming inferences about some intraclass correlation coefficients.
Kenneth O. McGraw,S. P. Wong +1 more
TL;DR: A review of the distinction between various forms of intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) can be found in this article, followed by a discussion of the relationship between the two types of ICCs.

The design and analysis of clinical experiments
Joseph L. Fleiss
- 01 Jan 1986
TL;DR: The Parallel Groups Design as mentioned in this paper is a special case of the Parallel Groups Study, and it is used to control for prognostic variables in linear regression analysis of linear regressions of linear models.
