Comparative Assessment of DFT Performances in Ru- and Rh-Promoted σ-Bond Activations
Yuanyuan Sun,Lianrui Hu,Hui Chen +2 more
TL;DR: In this work, the performances of 19 density functional theory methods are calibrated comparatively on Ru- and Rh-promoted σ-bond activations, finding the three best performing DFs for activation energy (reaction energy) calculations, from which B3LYP-D3 and ωB97XD can notably be recommended uniformly for both the reaction energy and reaction barrier calculations.
A phosphomide based PNP ligand, 2,6-{Ph2PC(O)}2(C5H3N), showing PP, PNP and PNO coordination modes
Pawan Kumar,Vitthalrao S. Kashid,Yernaidu Reddi,Joel T. Mague,Raghavan B. Sunoj,Maravanji S. Balakrishna +5 more
TL;DR: A new class of PNP pincer ligands, pyridine-2, 6-diylbis(diphenylphosphino)methanone, 2,6-{Ph2PC(O)}2(C5H3N) (hereafter referred to as "bis(phosphomide)"), was prepared by the reaction of picolinoyldichloride with diphenyl phosphine in the presence of triethylamine.
Acetylacetonato-based pincer-type nickel(ii) complexes: synthesis and catalysis in cross-couplings of aryl chlorides with aryl Grignard reagents.
Erika Asano,Yuki Hatayama,Nobutaka Kurisu,Atsufumi Ohtani,Toru Hashimoto,Youji Kurihara,Kazuyoshi Ueda,Shinji Ishihara,Hirotaka Nagao,Yoshitaka Yamaguchi +9 more
TL;DR: Among these complexes, 2b acted as an effective catalyst for the cross-coupling reaction using aryl chlorides as electrophiles and the electronic properties of these Ni(ii) complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and density functional theory calculations.
Synthesis, Characterization, and Catalytic Reactivity of {CoNO} 8 PCP Pincer Complexes.
Jan Pecak,Wolfgang Eder,Berthold Stöger,Sara Realista,Paulo N. Martinho,Maria José Calhorda,Wolfgang Linert,Karl Kirchner +7 more
TL;DR: X-ray structures, spectroscopic and electrochemical data of all nitrosyl complexes are presented and preliminary studies show that [Co(PCPNMe-iPr)(NO)]+ catalyzes efficiently the reductive hydroboration of nitriles with pinacolborane (HBpin) forming an intermediate {CoNO}8 hydride species.
A Brønsted acid-catalyzed generation of palladium complexes: efficient head-to-tail dimerization of alkynes
TL;DR: A Brønsted acid Ph2P(O)OH can efficiently catalyze the reaction of a Pd(0) complex with an alkyne to produce a novel alkenyl(alkynyl)palladium complex via selective hydropalladation and ligand exchange processes.

Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of organoboron compounds
Norio Miyaura,Akira Suzuki +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-coupling reaction is proposed for coupling 1 -Alkenylboron Derivatives: Synthesis of Conjugated Dienes 6.
C−H Activation for the Construction of C−B Bonds
TL;DR: Investigations revealed that the conversion of C-H bonds to C-B bonds was both thermodynamically and kinetically favorable and highlighted the accessible barriers for C- H bond cleavage and B-C bond formation during the borylation of alkanes and arenes.
On the Nature of the Active Species in Palladium Catalyzed Mizoroki–Heck and Suzuki–Miyaura Couplings – Homogeneous or Heterogeneous Catalysis, A Critical Review
TL;DR: A wide array of forms of palladium has been utilized as precatalysts for Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions over the last 15 years as mentioned in this paper, and there are now many suggestions in the literature that narrow the scope of types of precatalyst that may be considered true catalysts in these coupling reactions.
