Is psychology suffering from a replication crisis? What does "failure to replicate" really mean?
TL;DR: This article suggests that so-called failures to replicate may not be failures at all, but rather are the result of low statistical power in single replication studies, and of failure to appreciate the need for multiple replications in order to have enough power to identify true effects.

The Bayesian New Statistics: Hypothesis Testing, Estimation, Meta-Analysis, and Power Analysis from a Bayesian Perspective
TL;DR: In this article, Bayesian approaches to hypothesis testing and estimation with confidence or credible intervals have been discussed, as well as Bayesian methods to meta-analysis, random control trials, and planning.

The characterization of seafood mislabeling: A global meta-analysis
Gloria M. Luque,C. Josh Donlan +1 more
TL;DR: A Bayesian meta-analysis is conducted to estimate global mislabeling rates and their uncertainty across several factors and provides a foundation for prioritizing research to inform programs and policies to reduce seafood fraud.

Gonadal Hormones and Retinal Disorders: A Review.
TL;DR: A correlation between many retinopathies and sex is observed, probably as a result of the protective effect some gonadal hormones may exert against the development of certain disorders, which has ramifications for the use of hormone therapy in the treatment of eye disease and of retinal disorders in particular.
Auditory Distraction During Reading: A Bayesian Meta-Analysis of a Continuing Controversy:
TL;DR: A Bayesian meta-analysis of 65 studies on auditory-distraction effects during reading showed that background noise, speech, and music all have a small but reliably detrimental effect on reading performance and it is argued that new theoretical models are needed that can account for distraction by both background speech and noise.

Meta-analysis and psychophysiology: A tutorial using depression and action-monitoring event-related potentials.
TL;DR: An overview and step-by-step tutorial of meta-analysis aimed at psychophysiological researchers is presented and it is found that the literature on depression and the ERN is contaminated by publication bias.

Repeated neonatal isoflurane exposures in the mouse induce apoptotic degenerative changes in the brain and relatively mild long-term behavioral deficits.
Susan E. Maloney,Carla M. Yuede,Catherine E. Creeley,Sasha L. Williams,Jacob Huffman,George T. Taylor,Kevin N. Noguchi,David F. Wozniak +7 more
TL;DR: It is found that repeated early exposures to isoflurane induced subtle, sex-specific disruptions to activity levels, motor coordination, anxiety-related behavior and social preference following early repeated exposures to a single AASD.
