Die Symptome des Patienten umfassen seit 5 Tagen unterschiedlich starke diffuse Bauchschmerzen, die anfangs sehr stark waren und im Verlauf milder geworden sind. Die Schmerzen waren in der rechten Fossa iliaca lokalisiert. Ebenfalls wurden ein einmaliger Durchfall ohne Erbrechen, Ubelkeit oder Fieber berichtet. Der Patient hat ein normales Hautkolorit, einen unauffalligen Oropharynx und keine Anzeichen von Atembeschwerden. Die Genitaluntersuchung zeigt sich ohne anormalen Befund. Der Patient beklagt sich über ein schmerzhaftes Abdomen mit lebhaften Darmgerauschen. Die Abwehrspannung in der Bauchdecke der rechten Fossa iliaca und der McBurney-Punkt sind positiv. Der Patient ist in guter allgemeiner Gesundheit und gutem Ernährungszustand.
