Abstract: In order to determine auto-ferrittage elastic-plastic boundary radius for LDPE ultrahigh pressure tubular reactor,several different theoretical methods were used to calculate auto-ferrittage elastic-plastic boundary radius,and the results were also verified by residual stress test method.The test result indicated that there was an inflexion for the residual stress near the elastic-plastic radius.The test results were in match with the theoretical ones and this will provide good reference for further study on this issue.
