Abstract: The improved algorithm selects expected locations (for adding navigation links) in backtracks set at the point of the earlier and the less backtracks, which avoids effectively negative impact to the accuracy of the overall analysis by the long access sequence. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm can find expected pages effectively, thus can achieve the target of adjustment and reorganization of website.

A Novel Website Structure Optimization Model for More Effective Web Navigation
Wen-long Lin,Ye-zheng Liu +1 more
- 23 Jan 2008
TL;DR: A novel website structure optimization model for more effective web navigation is proposed and users' navigation are facilitated by optimizing website linkage structure that reduces the number of steps to locate their target web pages.

Data mining for path traversal patterns in a web environment
Ming-Syan Chen,Jong Soo Park,Philip S. Yu +2 more
- 27 May 1996
TL;DR: A new data mining capability which involved mining path traversal patterns in a distributed information providing environment like world-wide-web is explored, where the original sequence of log data is converted into a set of maximal forward references and filter out the effect of some backward references.
