Abstract: The invention provides an alignment device and an alignment method. The alignment device comprises an image acquirer for acquiring a to-be-aligned substrate image; a bearing platform for bearing a to-be-aligned substrate, wherein the bearing platform is provided with a bearing surface; a translation mechanism for controlling the image acquirer to move on a predetermined straight line direction parallel to the bearing surface of the bearing platform; and a rotating mechanism connected with the image acquirer and used for controlling the image acquirer to rotate; the image acquirer is connected with the translation mechanism; a rotating central shaft of the image acquirer is parallel to the bearing surface of the bearing platform, and perpendicular to the predetermined straight line direction. By using the alignment device provided by the invention, the position of the image acquirer can be adjusted according to a buckling angle of the to-be-aligned substrate, thereby realizing an aim of improving the image acquirer view through automatic focusing; a problem that the flexible substrate cannot be effectively aligned is effectively improved, and the production efficiency is improved.
