Circ_0011373 promotes papillary thyroid carcinoma progression by regulating miR-1271/LRP6 axis.
TL;DR: Circ_0011373 might be able to regulate PTC cell cycle, migration, invasion, and apoptosis by regulating the miR-1271/LRP6 axis.

Meshael Alswailem,Balgees Alghamdi,Anwar Alotaibi,Abeer Aljomiah,Hindi Al-Hindi,Avaniyapuram Kannan Murugan,Mohamed Abouelhoda,Yufei Shi,Ali S. Alzahrani +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the molecular genetics of 22 patients with DSPTC were analyzed using Sanger sequencing and a gene panel next-generation sequencing (NGS) to characterize the genomic landscape of these tumors.

Shin-ichi Murata,Ibu Matsuzaki,Mitsuo Kishimoto,Naomi Katsuki,Toshinori Onishi,Mitsuyoshi Hirokawa,Fumiyoshi Kojima +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a 56-year-old Japanese woman with Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) showed characteristic histological features of a predominantly fused follicular and focally solid (FFS) pattern.

- 14 Dec 2023
TL;DR: Age, tumor size, capsular invasion, and multifocality are independent risk factors for the development of LNM in DSV-PTC patients and the nomogram model can predict the risk of developing LNM in DSV-PTC patients and provide clinical guidance.

Histological and molecular genetic characteristics of clinically aggressive variants of papillary thyroid carcinoma: a literature review
TL;DR: In this paper , the most aggressive forms of PTC include diffuse sclerosing, tall cell, and insular variants of thyroid cancer, and the highest frequency of BRAF V600E among PTC is shown by the high-cell variant of PCT (90%), also significantly higher with ''shoe nail» cells than in classical PTC and varies from 40-90%.

Solid variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma: an under-recognized entity.
TL;DR: Patients with SVPTC may have a slightly higher incidence of metastasis and recurrence of the tumor compared to conventional PTC, although overall survival rate is comparable.
Poorly differentiated thyroid carcinomas defined on the basis of mitosis and necrosis: a clinicopathologic study of 58 patients.
David Hiltzik,Diane L. Carlson,R. Michael Tuttle,Shaokun Chuai,Nicole Ishill,Ashok Shaha,Jatin P. Shah,B. Singh,Ronald A. Ghossein +8 more
TL;DR: The objective of the current study was to assess the prognostic significance of PDTC defined on the basis of mitosis and necrosis and search for prognostic markers within this group of tumors that are predictive of overall survival (OS) and progression‐free survival (PFS).
Prognostic importance of sclerosing variant in papillary thyroid carcinoma.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that diffuse sclerosing carcinoma leads to a poorer prognosis to the extent that its classification as an autonomous clinical pathological entity is justified.

TL;DR: The tall cell variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma should be included in the differential diagnosis of an aggressive thyroid tumor with symptoms and cervical nodal metastasis.
